GMW Trounces JNB in D-17 (36-22); as JNB Edges GMW in D-6 (26-14)

PUNCH FM/TV conducted its second round of Presidential Polls yesterday, January 10, 2023 in Montserrado County. Team A targeted the Paynesville Duport Road Junction community in District #6, while Team B targeted the Brewerville Iron Gate Community in District #17, both in Montserrado County.

Team A Results showed that GMW received 14 votes; JNB 26 votes; ABC, 3 votes; while Tiawan Gongloe got 2 votes.

Out of 66 respondents interviewed, incumbent President George Manneh Weah got 14 votes in his favor. A breakdown of that tally showed 1 female and 13 males voting for President Weah.

Former Vice President Joseph Nyumah received 26 votes, with 3 females and 23 males declaring their support for JNB.

Out of Alexander Cummings’ three votes, 2 females and 1 male said they would vote for the CPP Standard Bearer in the October 2023 presidential election.

Astonishingly, 28 respondents declined to comment on their presidential choice, although they agreed that they would participate in the upcoming voters’ registration process.

Team B Results from District 17 showed that GMW received 36 votes, while JNB received 22 votes. Undecided voters accounted for 11 for the total 69 votes.

Out of the 69 respondents interviewed incumbent President George M. Weah got 36 votes. A breakdown of that tally showed 3 females, 5 males, and 10 youths saying they would reelect President Weah in October 2023.

As for former Vice President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, 22 respondents said they preferred him to become the next President of Liberia. Out of the number, 1 female, 4 males, and 6 youths noted their preference for a JNB presidency.

Day-3 of the Presidential Polls continues today with both teams working spontaneously across two districts of Montserrado County.
