Monrovia – Businessman cum politician Musa Hassan Bility has slammed heads of opposition political parties as being unworthy leaders.

Bility, who has vacillated between parties; from the former ruling Unity Party onto the opposition Liberty Party, has become vocal of late on politicking within the opposition bloc.

While commending his comrades in the opposition for what he calls their gallantry so far, the the business tycoon took a jab at leaders of the opposition bloc, stating that the current leadership of the opposition has proven to be unworthy of their roles as quote unquote leaders.

Bility is therefore rallying those in the opposition to stage what he calls internal revolts against their “unworthy leaders”.

“It’s time for a new team. No room for selfish leadership at this point,” Bility wrote on Facebook minutes ago.

He wants the opposition political parties to face their peers in Government heads on, stating that the “Generational Gap between the leadership of the powers-that-be and the opposition is one of mockery.”

“Let’s rise up and take our rightful places and face the Government filled with our peers,” noted Bility, who is of the belief that young and gallant women and men being led by those he referred to as men of yesterday is simply wrong and must change.

“Just consider how many times President Weah has been on the campaign trails for his candidates to the ZERO time our “LEADERS “ have been out there for Dillon and TELIA,” Bility quipped.

He continued: “I don’t even want to mention the Zero financial contributions they have made. This is making mockery of leadership. See how easily we get together and accept each other’s views and compare it to how many times they have failed to work together in the past, and clearly poised to disagree further.”

He noted that the signs are already showing, and that this is not fair to the efforts of opposition politcal parties members and supporters.

“They have outlived their time on the stage. If you borrow your time to them, don’t expect the Generation after us to be so nice to us,” blasted Bility, stating, “My first son is 31 years now. He’s already trying to pass me. Of course, I won’t let him now. But please remember that the race of age is always won by the younger ones. So it’s only a matter of time that we all must give way to those after us. How we used our time is none of their business. A hint to the wise.”

Recently, Bility accussed four opposition parties, UP, ANC, ALP, and including his own LP, of betraying their senatorial candidate in the upcoming 8 July Montserrado by-election, warning that if what he calls the fundamentals are not changed, the ruling CDC would win the election.

Although he on today blasted heads of political parties for being unworthy leaders, Bility had earlier said with the exception of the political leaders of both the ALP and ANC, Messrs. Benoni Urey and Alexander Cummings, whom he said are making some personal moves, no combined concrete institutional effort is being exerted by the four parties to support Dillon’s campaign.

“I have the feeling that Dillon has been betrayed by the Parties. With exception of Mr. Cummings and Mr. Urey who have made some individual efforts, the efforts of collaboration is yet to be felt in this campaign,” Bility wrote on his official Facebook page Saturday.

Bility stated that as per 2017 elections statistics at the National Elections Commission (NEC), with the combined efforts of the LP, UP ANC and ALP, the governing Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) could be defeated in the 8 July senatorial election, but lamented that to date, the four collaborating parties have done absolutely nothing to support the candidacies of Dillon and their other candidate, the daughter of ALP leader Benoni Urey, Telia, who is contesting in the by-election for Representative in Montserrado County electoral District-15, on the same day the senatorial by-election will be held.

Bility, a stalwart of the LP, who supported the CDC in the second round of the 2017 presidential election, bemoans what he calls the collaborating parties’ failure to place their various structures at the disposal of both Dillon and Telia.

“As a former campaign Manager for UP in Montserrado, I’m aware that UP is very very strong in Montserrado, especially in the Freeway belt. As far as I know, the Liberty party had one of the most organized campaign in 2017 and Montserrado was our best of the bests. ANC, the dark horse of 2017, performed rather brilliantly in Montserrado as well. Followed by ALP. Today, not a single one of these institutions has placed their party’s structure at the disposal of the candidates,” said Bility, adding, “The Candidates are basically running their own shows.”

Expressing fear that if what he calls the fundamentals are not changed, CDC would as usual win the both by-elections in Montserrado on 8 July, Bility added, “There are more than 1000 auxiliaries in opposition parties in Montserrado alone. Not a single one has come out to support any of these candidates.”
