Monrovia – Several officials and members of the Economic Freedom Fighters of Liberia (EFFL), drawn from 14 of the country’s 15 political sub-divisions, are about now gathering to deliberate the way forward for the pro-democracy and political movement.

The EFFL retreat under the theme: “Rescuing Liberia from Falling”, during its first-ever annual national retreat is expected to among other things deliberate on its achievements and challenges in the year under review, as well as forge new strategies to advance the aspirations of the group in the coming year.

EFFL’s Commander-In-Chief Emmauel Gonquoi told Punch FM/TV Online Service minutes ago that at today’s deliberations, his organization will endeavor to espouse fresh ideas into the leadership dynamism of Liberia, stating that they are of the belief that they can change the course of the country in which its citizens are crying for daily bread.

He noted that Liberia’s interest should and must come before personal, family, tribal, or parochial considerations, in the governance process of the nation.

Punch FM/TV Online Service has reliably learned that at today’s retreat, a petition to establish the EFFL as a political party, will be presented.

Tough-talking lawmaker and Montserrado County District #10 Representative in the House of Representatives, Yekeh Kolubah will be in attendance as one of several invited guests expected to grace the EFFL first annual retreat.
